Foundation Course

A comprehensive 22-week welding training program designed to take students from beginners to certified welders ready for employment.

Stick welding fundamentals

  • MIG welding introduction and basics

  • Welding safety, PPE, and shop expectations

  • Certifications: OSHA 10, Hot Works, and First Aid/CPR

  • Aerial Lift, Scaffolding, and Rigging

  • Blueprint reading

Program Date: April 28th, 2026 - September 24th, 2026 (Graduation)

Welding Fundamentals Program Information Session

We are hosting in-person sessions:

Saturday April 4th, 9:00 AM –11:00 AM

Saturday April 11th, 9:00 AM –11:00 AM

During these sessions, we’ll walk through the program, expectations, and next steps. Please let me know which session you plan to attend. Attending at least one session is mandatory for program consideration.

Who Can Apply

This program is open to Massachusetts residents who are 18–30 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HiSET), and are currently unemployed or underemployed and not enrolled in college or on an established career track. Applicants should have an interest in construction trades and welding, hands-on work.

We especially encourage applications from residents of environmental justice communities and others from marginalized communities. If that's your story, this program was built with you in mind.
